Answer:
The answer was a surprise to us, but is a qualified Yes. When you think about
it, someone sending you a computer virus that damages your computer is not much different than
someone throwing a rock through your window, breaking it. It is a form of vandalism, and is
usually covered by most modern business insurance policies. A home policy may even cover such
an event. There is still a minimal deductible, but may this at least limits your out of pocket
impact. MME has been involved in two cases already where insurance covered all costs in excess
of the deductible. This is a pleasant surprise amidst an otherwise unpleasant experience.
